Alissa was born and raised in Fayette County. She was only two years old when her family moved to the area. At that time, it was a very rural area with only one gas station. She recalls when the addition of a McDonald’s was quite the buzz. At this time in Fayette County, there was one elementary school, one middle school, and one high school, and “everyone knew everyone”.
She graduated from Georgia State University with a degree in marketing. She worked at the Atlanta Botanical Garden for many years as the Special Events Director where she planned many weddings and special events, the most exciting being when Home Depot rented out the entire Garden for the duration of the ‘96 Olympics.
She married in 2001, and she became a mom in 2003 with the birth of their daughter. In 2005, she and her husband moved from their home by Chastain Park in Sandy Springs to be closer to family and the great local schools. In 2006, they welcomed their son and have been in the Peachtree City area ever since. For the past 20 years, her family has been her purpose. Now that they are becoming young adults, she is shifting her purpose as she, for the first time in 17 years, is no longer spending her days in morning and afternoon carpool lines and shuttling kids to and from activities.
She has found that the expression often used in raising children “It takes a village” is applicable to real estate as well. Alissa has always been interested in real estate, and she loves the entire process. What she enjoys most is meeting new people and helping them with more than just finding a home. She has found that families are looking for schools, pediatricians, counselors, and even dog trainers! Although this is no longer the rural town she grew up in, she still feels like she “knows everyone” and wants to use that knowledge to help find the perfect place for you and your family.
